Short Introduction of IRPM ( Hons. )
Although Industrial Relations and Personnel Management i.e. IRPM is an ancient Honours paper which came into existence in 1952 as an individual subject,but it's scope wasn't sufficient till 2000.But now-a-days IRPM has a very large scope and it's importance are being noticed now. IRPM is considered as PMIR or LSW subject in UPSC and BPSC. It is a subject that deals with Labour Economics and social Security & social welfare. Even, now you can imagine how large it's scope has spread that we are studying it as an Honours subject.
संक्षिप्त इतिहास IRPM :
हालाँकि औद्योगिक संबंध और कार्मिक प्रबंधन यानी IRPM एक प्राचीन ऑनर्स पेपर है जो 1952 में एक व्यक्तिगत विषय के रूप में अस्तित्व में आया था, परंतु इसका दायरा 2000 तक पर्याप्त नहीं था। लेकिन आजकल IRPM का दायरा बहुत बड़ा है और इसका महत्व है। अब देखा जाय तो IRPM को UPSC और BPSC में LSW विषय माना जाता है। यह एक ऐसा विषय है जो श्रम अर्थशास्त्र और सामाजिक सुरक्षा और सामाजिक कल्याण से संबंधित है। अब आप अंदाजा लगा सकते हैं कि इसका दायरा कितना फैल गया है कि हम इसे ऑनर्स विषय के रूप में पढ़ रहे हैं।

My main view to create this post is to inform you about the recommended Books for Industrial Relations and Personnel Management. IRPM Hons. is being run by Various Universities of Bihar, Jharkhand and other states of India.
I strongly suggest you 2 books for IRPM Honours those two are mentioned below.
IRPM Honours has two papers :-
1. Labour Economics and Industrial Relations
2. Social Security & Social Welfare

इस पोस्ट को लिखने का मेरा मुख्य उद्द्येश आपको औद्योगिक संबंध और कार्मिक प्रबंधन के लिए अनुशंसित पुस्तकों के बारे में सूचित करना है। आईआरपीएम ऑनर्स बिहार, झारखंड समेत भारत के अन्य राज्यों के विभिन्न विश्वविद्यालयों द्वारा चलाया जा रहा है।
मैं आपको IRPM ऑनर्स के लिए 2 पुस्तकों का दृढ़ता से सुझाव देता हूं, उन दो का उल्लेख नीचे किया गया है।

1. Labour Economics and Industrial Relations by V.C. Sinha & Pushpa Sinha
This book is for first paper that deals with Labour Economics and Industrial Relations i.e. concept of Labour Economics, scope, characteristics, Labour Markets, wages, Collective bargaining Theory, Minimum wage Theory, Industrial Acts,Wage difference,Wages board in India, Unemployment - Types,Cause Nature and Measures f Government to control unemployment,labour Productivity,Situation of Labour in Indian Market,Economy Institutions,Capital economy,Social economy and many more chapters are included in this book. First Paper contains 8 Chapters in all for UG Part 1 students. Like this UG part 2 & 3 this book contains 7 to 8 Chapters for each. 2. Labour and Social Welfare- by P.R.N. Sinha & Indubala
This book is for Second paper that deals with Social Security and Social Welfare i.e. concept of Social Security in india, characteristics, Women Welfare, Child Welfare, Social agencies, Employee Compensesion Act 1923 , Social Welfare, Old ge Pension and many more chapters are included in this book. There are 7 chapters in all for UG Part 1 students. This book is also easy to learn & understand. It's pattern and syllabus is made especially for undergraduate students as well as for UPSC and BPSC students.

यह पुस्तक दूसरे पेपर के लिए है जो सामाजिक सुरक्षा और समाज कल्याण से संबंधित है। इसमें सामाजिक सुरक्षा की अवधारणा, विशेषताओं, महिला कल्याण, बेरोजगारी, बाल कल्याण, सामाजिक एजेंसियों कर्मचारी मुआवजा अधिनियम 1923, समाज कल्याण, वृद्धावस्था पेंशन, और कई अन्य अध्याय इस पुस्तक में शामिल हैं। यूजी पार्ट 1 के छात्रों के लिए कुल 7 अध्याय हैं। इसी प्रकार से यूजी पार्ट 2 एवं पार्ट 3 के लिए भी 7 से 8 अध्याय हैं। इस पुस्तक से सीखना और समझना भी आसान है। इसका पैटर्न और पाठ्यक्रम विशेष रूप से स्नातक छात्रों के साथ-साथ यूपीएससी और बीपीएससी छात्रों के लिए भी बनाया गया है।
